Doctors said 2-year-old Cash Hyde would likely die after they found a stage 4 brain tumor surrounding his optic nerve just a year ago this week. When no treatments worked to cure his 2-year-old son Cash’s brain tumor, Mike Hyde did something drastic: he gave his little boy a dose of cannabis oil. Initially it was to get him to start eating again, Cash had been so sick he went 40 days without eating.
Mike Hyde, who lives with his family in Montana where medical marijuana is legal, uses pot to treat his “attention deficit disorder” . Mike got the oil from his regular supplier. However, Cash was being treated deep in Mormon country in Salt Lake City, where medical marijuana is illegal. Hyde had to slip his son the drug without his doctor’s knowing and now just before Cash’s 3rd birthday he is cancer-free!
